Positive telligence IO is starting a series of blog posts on Positive Self Talk. The thoughts you think and the words you say to yourself physically and chemically rewire your brain. Neuroplasticity to the rescue!
According to Shad Helmstetter PhD, author of 365 Days of Positive Self-Talk, it is estimated that at least 77% of our self talk is negative. It’s time to change old patterns and change your life.
You can craft your own self talk messages and read them to yourself every day. One example is as follows: “ Today I choose to find at least one thing to be thankful for, one thing to be happy about, one thing that helps me grow, one thing to look forward to, and at least one thing to do that helps someone else.”
Or, you can even record your daily self talk scripts and listen to them while walking, exercising or commuting to work. This constant repitition is key to making your self talk stick.
It you need more support and help, you may want to try the app: https://www.selftalkplus.com. This app is free for 30 days, so check it out!
