People who practice thinking positively, physically reshape their brains by changing what they think. Positive Neuroplasticity!!!
Research shows that thinking positively regrows new neurons in your brain’s pre-frontal cortex. This part of the brain controls executive functions, such as thinking, problem solving and regulating emotions. Your pre-frontal cortex is critical to your well-being.
People who think negatively activate the flight and fight response in the brain. When flight and fight are activated, your critical thinking skills decrease. The fight and flight response can also lead to increased heart rate, anxiety and high blood pressure.
One of my favorite self-talks is as follows: “Right now I choose to make my life for the better, with every choice I make. I am creating the success I am living today and the future I will be living tomorrow in everything I do.”
